Originally built in 1978 just looking for something to do with my new Dremel Tool. Seen here with my current build sitting in the background.
I decided to revisit and create more detail using skills I’ve developed over the last three years.
This is how this 40 year old model appeared in April of 2009 before I began to give her a major facelift.
This photo with the new pencil gives a visual reference as to just how small this 1:180th scale model is.
Her hull, still carved from solid block of wood, has new paint, along with many new additions seen in the following pics.
November, 2009 Completed.
I would think it safe to say this is the smallest fully rigged, scratch built model of the HMS Victory on the planet.
I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge.
I decided there is little need for comment regarding the following photos.
The hull was carved and shaped from a solid block of wood using a rotary Dremel Tool. (No planking)
